Champion's modular construction increases hotel capacity

A booming natural resource industry and a fully occupied hotel posed a need for Gokul Inc. to expand rapidly in order to make the most of a thriving market.

Champion's modular construction process helped the client achieve this goal by capturing revenue five months ahead of a traditional construction timeline.

Project Scope

  • 45 modules
  • 33,500 sq. ft. addition to existing hotel property
  • Mix of 55 suites and common areas

Challenge

Provide an architecturally matched addition to an existing property while holding to an aggressive occupancy rate.

Solution

Working directly with the AOR and utilizing different module sizes and heights, Champion was able to deliver 45 modules to the site and have it weather-tight in 24 days, allowing Gokul Inc. to achieve occupancy in less than 16 weeks from the start of production, while maintaining the architectural integrity of the building.
